Goals and Objectives.

Through these four sessions you will;

1) Gain a stronger awareness of your body.

2) Begin the process of expressing yourself without reservation.

3) Discover the beginnings of a personal and unique style of expression.

4) Develop techniques that will better your ability to solve problems and deal with any immediate life issues that are confronting you.

5) Emerge form the sessions stronger than when you entered.

Next sessions coming in July 2007 and throughout the Fall.

These sessions are led by Dr. Sandra Katz Ed.D.

An educator/artist/scholar, Sandra has practiced and developed he craft for over 30 years.  She received her Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees specializing in sociology, anthropology, religion, drama and arts therapies in education.  She earned her Doctorate in 2000.

    In the 70's , she co-founded Arts Carousel, a non profit organization providing visual and other expressive arts opportunities for the physically disabled.  She has additional qualifications in counseling, special education and primarily focused on Adolescents with learning disabilities and Youth at Risk.  She has been trained in Psycho drama, movement techniques, Yoga, and Tai Chi an d has experience with a variety of alternative healing practices.

    She has trained in voice-over, scene study, monologue, and performing for the camera.  As a director she has staged award winning one act plays for the Ontario Sears Drama Festival.  She has acted in amateur theatre productions and has been chair of the Drama in Education association for the Peel District School Board.

     Presently she is an Alternate Track Trainee and member of the National Association of Drama Therapy an.  She continues to act as a private educational consultant and a coauthor of teachers' companions for TIE companies.  Sandra is an experienced workshop leader and networks with educators, grad students and drama therapists around the world.
