Father and Son

This is a shorter solo version of a three actor one act play I wrote and co-directed.  It was written originally as a student project when I was in mime school and then developed later when I started my own company.  It is about a father and his son who get along fine when the boy is young but begins to sour when he becomes a teenager.  At the height of their tension his father dies and the young man is left to search for what is now missing in his life.  In the final scene he runs back to the lake where he and his father fished.  His father's spirit appears and bids him a final goodbye.  The story is based on my history of growing up without a father.  My father left us when we were young.  He died when I was 16 years old and as fate would have it had just left a hospital in the city where I had just moved.  I have always wondered what it would have been like to see him and what if anything is missing from my life as a result.

The following clips are all Real media

Clip Two  Not in school the teenager is caught shooting pool instead.
