One Time Too Late

One Time Too Late premiered in May '87 along with Thru A Glass Darkly in Toronto as two one act mime plays.  Written and created by Stephen La Frenie.  Co-directed by Miles Cohen and Stephen La Frenie.  Featuring Stephen La Frenie as Bob.  David Langlois as his father and Rene Baillargeon as his mother.

One Time Too Late is the story of the strained relationship between father and son.  It is based on my personal search for a missing section of my life.  Presented as a series of stylized vigniettes "paintings",  One Time Too Late deals with the conflict between father and son during the son's teenage years and the son's stuggle to cope with his father's sudden death.
